Childcare Services

Northumberland Wedding Crèche allows parents to relax and enjoy the day knowing that their children are cared for in a safe and fun environment.

The basics

All of our staff have minimum Level 2 childcare qualification, DBS certificate and paediatric first aid certificate.

We work with ofsted guidance for childcare ratio’s.

We recognise that all weddings and events are unique…we will work closely with you to figure out exactly what it is you need, with the happiness of the children at the heart of everything we do.

  • A minimum of three hours, including setting up and tidying away time. Extra hours can be added on if required.

    Includes two staff with more available if needed.

    Can be adapted to suit any space and venue.

    We ask that parents provide anything children may need, including nappies, wipes, comforters, drinks and snacks.

    Following the booking process, you will be asked to complete a child record form which includes information relating to allergies and illnesses that we should be made aware of.

    We have full public liability insurance.

  • We follow Ofsted guidance when working out how many staff we need to look after a particular number of children. This is worked out as follows:

    1:3 for under 2’s

    1:4 for 2 year old’s

    1:8 for 3 year old’s

  • New for 2023, we can create a movie experience for children who would like to chill out after a full day of celebrations.

    We’ll set up a movie projector and screen with cosy floor cushions, throws and blankets, with popcorn and drinks provided. You can pick the movies beforehand to make sure they’re appropriate for the children watching.

    There is an additional cost for this service.

Nanny service

  • Our nanny service is for that focused, one to one childcare that you may need throughout the day. We can take care of children before, during and after the ceremony (at the venue or elsewhere) we can even stay over the night before or after if required.

  • We are happy to meet you and your child before the event; this really helps to put your mind at ease and to minimise distractions throughout the day. Having a familiar face also helps children to settle with their nanny.

Babysitting

  • For when parents are partying and children are ready for bed. We are happy to settle children for the night, following their usual bedtime routine.

  • We can provide babysitters to look after up to three children in one room. The babysitter can sit in the room with the children, or use an intercom system; whichever you’d prefer.

Pricing depends on a range of parameters including numbers and ages of children, venue and time.
